About the Chapters
This is David Marshak's email describing his book, "The Common Vision" and the two chapters about Hazrat Inayat Khan’s philosophy of education and Murshida Vera's work with children in the Seed Center Schools:
I've attached two chapters from my book that discuss Hazrat Inayat Khan and Murshida Vera only. You are welcome to include one or both in your website. Other chapters in the book explore the relationship between Hazrat Inayat Khan's teaching and those of Sri Aurobindo, Rudolf Steiner, and Maria Montessori. I've also published a more popular and updated treatment of "The Common Vision" entitled *Evolutionary Parenting*. You can find more information about this at: evolutionary parenting.org. I only met Murshida once, as described in this chapter. I was struck by her kindness, her graciousness, and her brilliance. In peace, David Marshak
David Marshak is an Assistant Professor at Seattle University. He is also the author of The Common Vision: Parenting and Educating for Wholeness, in which he looks at the commonalities among Sri Aurobindo, Rudolf Steiner, and Hazrat Inayat Khan in terms of the nature of children and education.
