015a Healing Techniques for the Infant

The recognition of the infant’s cry and what it means is the key to change and balance it. The job of the caretaker is to maintain and balance the rhythm of the infant’s nervous system, which is matched to the mother’s rhythm. To master the baby’s rhythm is to master your own rhythm. Each child has its own rhythms and needs. Symptoms of stress in the mother are passed to the infant. At 6 weeks, the infant is tracking shadows and light. Boredom in infants occurs when not given variety of movement and handling and companionship. How to walk with an infant and pat the spine is discussed. It’s good to hum while walking with the infant; the group practices humming with Murshida Vera. Sleep patterns that go off in the infant are related to diet. The importance of crawling in the infant is discussed. Transitions in the child and adults occur during the whole lifetime. When a transition is not completed at a developmental level, the child will go through it again at the next octave of development. Turning will change the mood of the child; turn to the left (the way the planets turn). Another technique to use is massage.

015b Healing techniques for the Infant (continued)

The importance of the father image (friend to the child) for the child who is being raised by a single mother is discussed. Murshida Vera is instructing and demonstrating the massage techniques for infants that fathers and mothers should use. The male works through magnetism and the woman works through the light of her heart. The importance of taking the infant’s temperature to have a baseline, etc. is presented. The Infancy schools use various products for prevention of illness using good bacteria: Engelen Forte (German product), Fivadis, Acidophilus bulgaricus are the three products. Information about the infant’s urinary tract is given. Love is the main thing needed for the infants.

022a Sufi Healing Methods

This addresses the home healer and caretaker. Healing depends upon attitude of mind, heart and condition of the soul. Reinsure patient that they are God's perfect child in God's perfect universe. See condition perfectly healed; have to be clear reflector of own philosophy; use the glance; practice of inhaling the rays of the sun daily; sufi healing uses the magnetism and the electro-magnetic body of the healer; insight and vision of the healer; dismissal of psychic energy using salt; hospital visitations and working in hospitals; healer's attunement to divine light; can use magnetism of own body; healer as a hollow reed; keeping channel always clear; using crystal as reflector of sunlight; contemplation, concentration, visualization as Hazrat Inayat Khan teaches; inhale in from glance of patient; sense when patient is done with healing; love is greatest palliator of fear and pain; benefits of humming a tune; inhaling another's pain and offering it up; turning has healing in it; humor in healing.

022b Sufi Healing Methods (continued)

Visualizing the perfect image; always keep things used as spiritual impress covered; healer in prayer; healing prayer Nayaz; impress of objects; must always work to keep our channels clear; ablutions; fasting; healer must be a clear channel; apple cider vinegar bath; working with rays of the sun and mother earth.

044a Healing Lecture 11/3/84

Murshida Vera answers questions from students. Questions include: what can you do to help infants ground to the earth, what does the healer do when working with a patient with a split personality, sending healing to places in the world, how to protect oneself from the negative energy of the receiver, breath when healing. Much of what is dealt with in healing stems from the emotional body. Mental body contains the thought forms from the outside and the thought forms from within. Thought forms are entities and houses need to be purified regularly. Extremely important in healing to touch the heart and soul of the patient. Divine inheritance.

044b Healing Lecture 11/3/84

Spirit is the power behind the soul. The healer has to intuit how to help someone release from the body; hard to work with someone who has lost spirit to want to live or heal or be transformed; sufi healers use the power of God flowing through; healing at a distance; God conscious state; healing as a service to humanity; glorification practices; giving up self will and the lower self; recognition of the Divine being within; healer has to reach God consciousness; Murshid Sam had the ability to know when he was needed; attune to individual at a distance; visualize person in mind's eye and draw circle of light around person's body; send positive impress; higher sense of hearing through the practice of Shaghal; etc.

046b Quiet Day 2/6/94 Bell Marin Keyes, Ca. Healing Molestation

Murshida Vera is speaking about child abuse. The Sufis’ work with child abuse using these wasifas: Ya Fattah heart to heaven for healing the heart for molestation; Ya Rachman, 101 times after prayers, keen awareness and memory of it; Al’ Quddus for a heavy heart, injured in the heart. One has to do the practices 101 times to make a change of something that is deep in one’s being. Ya Aziz frees one at the 2.5-year developmental level, independence from others, independence of movement and Ya Jabbar protects one from violence, repairs broken trust. Do not give out this work unless you have mastered it yourself in your own life. Ya Khaliq is done at night only just before sleep; it creates the angel of right action in one’s life. Working with the angelic kingdom is very important when working with child abuse. Murshida is talking about mirroring as it tells you what you have. When working on something negative one has had their whole life one does the wasifas no less than 501 times. For purification of the person use spring water in a bowl that has been magnetized, keep fingers above water and fingertips touch water, shake fingers over the crown center to heart down arms and out the fingertips “It’s not my will but Thy will”. Oils can also be used. Murshida continues to explain using magnetized water for healing.

047a Quiet Day 2/6/94 Bell Marin Keyes, Ca. Healing of the Body

Murshida Vera is talking about the breath, the respiratory system and the small expanse between solar plexus and the base of the heart chakra. In Sufi work all breath work is to the count of 4/4. Women have to clear the space between the base of the heart and the solar plexus so the circulation between 2nd, 3rd and 4th chakra is taken care of. Murshida is talking about the skeleton system; cramped muscles in uterine development affect the muscular system. The nervous system has little like veins going to every part of the body; pain influences the nervous system greatly. The digestive system is deeply influenced by accidents, surgeries, weaknesses inherited from family. Self-study is very important in determining problems in digestion and Murshida is speaking of intuition to give information about one’s body. Mental attitude has a great deal to do with how medicines work for the individual. Mind, spirit and flesh are not separate. Murshida asks the questions why some people are accident-prone. The sensory system, the skin is very important. Holding the infant to the heart does so much to help to ground the child. Stroking fingertips down the arm is amazing work for healing neuromuscular problems.

047b Quiet Day 2/6/94 Bell Marin Keyes, Ca Healing of the Body continued

The recognition for adult women that their skin is one organ and that they have to have gentle stroking of the skin on a regular basis. Working on the joint of the body between the leg and female sexual organs affects the throat for healing. Murshida Vera is talking about the centers on the temple to be massaged to avoid and stop headaches. The Aboriginal peoples belief that everything has a spirit. Everyone has a spirit; spirit builds positive attitude. The power of the glance has tremendous healing power. Murshida is speaking of the recognition of the organs within the body, which are tuned to the cosmos, and planets within the cosmos; the cosmos is a being, an entity in space as we individually in our skins are small complex universes. Through breath, mental attitudes and recognition of the spirit of the individual, these things can be met in our day. Murshida is presenting how the power of the walk influences the spirit of man. The first thing in physical healing of any kind is to forgive yourself: Ya Ghaffar, Ya Ghafir, Ya Ghaffur are important to relieve any inner suffering, long term chronic suffering. The practice Er Rahman and Er Rahmin insures mercy when suffering intensely; Quddus relieves the heart of that which one inherits in cell memory. If one can heal within oneself the negative traits inherited; it triggers across the planes to heal parents and grandparents already passed. It requires a retreat into oneself. One’s entity has to do with the spirit not the physical container which one occupies. Ya Jabbar repairs a broken heart. One must be able to free the entity (the soul) from the physical inheritance or one goes on carrying their weakness for a lifetime. To learn to work on the energy body is the real way to relieve the condition one is going through. Listening to one’s own body is imperative. If the spirit is strong the body will heal. All these things have to do with healing of the spirit. One has to rebuild trust in oneself to work on these things: Ya Wakil, trust in God, Ya Wadud, goal of the heart to love and be loved in return, Ya Mumit, Ya Muhyi, brings joy to the heart, have to work to overcome the shadow, Ya Mubdi’. Murshida is recommending using the Lord’s Prayer as taught in Salisbury Cathedral in England.

048a Quiet Day 2/6/94 Bell Marin Keyes, Ca. Healing of the Body continued

Murshida Vera is continuing to talk about the shadow. The sun does not cast a shadow; there is an object before it that casts the shadow. The shadow cannot defeat the light. Thoughts make forms in space and those thoughts affect us; we can create shadows by thought form. The shadows exist in the emotional aura of the body. When working with these wasifas, one also has to work on giving insight to the perpetrator of the abuse/event whether on this plane or not using Ya Batin; Ya Zahir follows this, gives incite to you. Ya Batin, Ya Zahir. Ghaffar, Ghafir, Ghaffur also relieve you because they veil the suffering. Polishing the heart daily means doing the purification practices and glorifications everyday, these insights are everlasting truths. We can seal the aura by repairing the emotional aura, by recognizing the light and building the light and transferring from the body to the bio-magnetic field. Fear is very strong and has an awful affect on the human aura, Ya Wali, the eternal friend is a basic practice. The human heart qualities make the basis for one’s whole life. Ya Qawi protects one from anyone working against you; Ya Matin protects you from trouble. Ya Muqtadir is the power to stay on the path, continue on your concentration. Ya Ra’uf is to have blessing in your life no matter how impossible things are. These are the basics of dealing with fear. These practices can seal the aura in. To work on these practices in absentia for other people can have a great affect

048b Quiet Day – Healing of the Body continued

The basic truth of the Yogi, Tibetan and the Sufi are the same.

063a 8/16/85 At the Abode Self Healing, Connecting to the Source of Healing

The glorification practices are maintaining the four balances of our being. When dealing with self-healing it’s most important to do daily: ablutions, purifications, and glorifications. Glorification practices: Shafee, Khafee; SubhanAllah; the divine purity which the healer must be aware of and keep; rhythm and balance most important according to Hazrat Inayat Khan. Practices done on a 4/4 count/breath. Allahu Akbar; power is peace and peace is power. Alhamdulillah, we thank the divine being for the grace of God pouring over our lives. HIK told Sheika Kushing that you do this to the day you die.

When we heal ourselves and our cup runneth over then we have something to give to another. Magnetic healing comes through the palms of the hands, positive energy coming from the electro-magnetic force of the body. Lesson number one is to tune to the vibration and place the patient is coming from mentally: what is the condition of the eyes; try to feel the hand of the patient. The Sufi is in tune with the Quddus, the Nur An War – the source of the light. Light flows through the glance and the magnetic field. Prayer, contemplation and the silence are important for the healer. The necessity of recycling within the healer, patterns of life, and the mode of life are discussed. The healer should be aware of the aspects of the sun and moon.

063b 8/16/85 At the Abode Self -Healing lecture continued

Sunspots are spots that move across the surface of the sun. Sunspots are aligned with our planet’s plagues and famines. Honesty with oneself and the patient, the attitude of the healer toward the patient, and exercise and relaxation for the healer are all very important. Exploring causes behind the causes of illness is also important. Five stages of grief are mentioned; fear of new relationships comes from not letting go of the last stages of grief. Hazrat Inayat Khan’s phrase “ Indifference and independence are the wings that enable the soul to fly” is essential for the healer. It is necessary to talk to the body of the patient and teach the patient to talk to their body.

064a 8/16/85 At the Abode Healing continued

Relaxation must be in our work; Hazrat Inayat Khan teaches 3 phases of relaxation. Murshida Vera describes a relaxation technique using all the various muscle groups. If one can relax with any painful treatment it will lessen the pain. Murshida Vera discusses teaching fikr and using the Quddus practice (using divine light) directing it to any organ, painful area of the body, etc. It’s important to become acquainted with the spirit of the pain in the body.

064b 8/16/85 At the Abode Healing continued

Nine-year-old transition is discussed. One must accept their physical body in order for healing to occur. Murshida Vera talks about the effects of the emotional reaction to the physical condition the person has. There is nothing impossible in spiritual healing; one can recognize and awaken the spirit and make it determined to fight through all odds and be victorious. It is the spirit that drives the soul into the body. The teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan on the spirit are beautiful. The importance of reaching the soul’s goal is discussed. Murshida answers questions about Haley’s comet, prophecy, indigo ray, the tides and the moon, jemal, jelal and kamal energy, sun cycles and practices, five stages of grieving.

065a 8/16/85 At the Abode Healing continued

Murshida Vera is answering questions. The 5 stages of grief when someone close dies or when a close relationship ends is discussed. Murshida talks about the types of sufi healing: magnetic healing, healing by prayer and meditation, pulling down of the Holy Spirit and letting it flow through us through the glance and fingertips, visualization and concentration, etc. The source of healing with mother earth and father sky is an ancient form of healing; healing through the elements is discussed using movements with the elemental breaths and walks. The next attunement is to the masters, saints and prophets; the wasifa is strengthened by putting a master behind the practice. In healing we must keep the positive image before us; see the person in the condition they could be.

065b 8/16/85 At the Abode Healing continued

Angels and guardian angels are discussed. The work of attaining to the presence of God; every healer must have this as a goal. Building up of the light in the inner being allows one to call on the light when needed for healing. Practices are given for calling on the Holy Spirit using the Quddus sound and directing it to the heart. Instructions and practices include: Quddus, Quddus Hayy, Quddus Wahhabo. The light practices are also given and include: Ya Nur, Ya Nur, Ya Manower.

066a 8/16/85 At the Abode Healing continued

It is time for healers and the healing order in general to progress beyond prayers of the healing of the individual to get into the healing of the universal problems of this planet; humanity and it’s suffering must be in the consciousness of everyone in this healing work. The group prays as each one says an individual prayer and the group chants Hu after each person prays. The purification of the breath through the elements is taught and practiced. (Earth and water)

066b 8/16/85 At the Abode Healing continued

Purification of the breath through the elemental breaths (fire and air) teachings is continued. The healing process goes through our entire life. The balancing of the elements within the breath of the individual is where the healing comes from. Magnetism is a living spirit; magnetizing exercises are given and practiced to build magnetism for healing; healing techniques using magnetism are given. “You are God’s perfect child in God’s perfect universe and all healing is coming to you”.

067a 8/17/85 At the Abode Healing continued

Magnetism of mind deals with 5 different aspects according to Hazrat Inayat Khan. The first one is perception; what do you sense about the individual. Murshida Vera answers some questions about magnetism. The healer has to train him or herself to be in tune with the patient but not to take on the condition of the patient. Memory is a function of magnetism of the mind. In the magnetism of the soul innocence is a prerequisite. We must maintain harmony with all of the kingdoms and all of the elements.

067b 8/17/85 At the Abode Healing continued

Murshida Vera discusses the magnetism of the soul. We cannot heal others until we have gotten on top of our own healing. Making oneself clear with the Holy Spirit using the breath and the zikr, “La Illaha Illa la Hu” to the heart is practiced with the group. Murshida talks about becoming a channel and the uses of the water element for purification and healing. Murshida teaches the heart meditation for healing to the heart.

068a 8/17/85 At the Abode Healing continued

Murshida Vera discusses the air element using fanning with feathers for healing; all the elements and the kingdoms are included for use in healing. The purification for the channels of breath is presented. Training the intuition is discussed along with the light work that Murshida believes is the finest training for intuition and training the eye to see the inner states of man. In auric vision what one sees is the electromagnetic field; the whole emotional aura is the traumas of the heart. The state one is in, one absorbs what one is ready to hear and it becomes a part of one’s inner being and it lifts one into another state of consciousness. Wisdom begins to come from a broken heart, the dark night of the soul. Rebuilding from the bottom up is necessary after the shattering of the heart. Sealing one’s aura is taught using the light with the breath.

Murshida discusses maintaining the heart of the healer after it has been purified using the daily purification breaths and after it has been healed of it’s own wounds. Maintaining the heart depends upon first keeping a regular confession going, survey one’s acts each day.

068b 8/17/85 At the Abode Healing continued

Confessing is unloading; getting rid of the day’s garbage; lower self speaking to the higher self and the higher self forgiving the lower self. Prayer for all healers is very important. The penance for our daily confession is the service to humanity. It’s most important that we tune into what is happening to humanity; the peace work must be in our prayers. The need for the whole universe must be peace and unity. The healer has a vast realm of work to do through the elements, through the kingdoms, through the work with the individuals you work with each of whom are on one path in that; maybe there are many grids passing through their lives that are affecting them and causing the phenomena of what we call physical disease. All beginning in the spiritual body, in the enculturation, in the modes of thought, in the ethics that the individual has, in the personal moral code that the individual has all intertwined, interrelated in the physical phenomena of disease. This is certainly the work of the healer; what is the attitude of the person, what is the condition of the spirit behind the soul, etc. To learn to forgive it is said is divine; real forgiveness is forgetting. Impress is so important, the words we use and how we leave people with them. Reconnecting with the Comforter is the final sealing up of the Holy Spirit with the individual.

069a 8/17/85 At the Abode Healing continued

Murshida Vera is discussing the basic forms that exist in the symbolism of all ancient mankind. The basic shape is the key to the symbol of the element. The mysticism, the inner quality of the element, one has to practice and discover and be a part of. Working with light and maintaining the hollow reed from the crown center to the heart has to be maintained by the healer. Light practices are given: Ya Nur-Ya Manower, Quddus, Quddus-Hayy, Quddus-Wahabo. The practices must be pushed down internally to the base of the heart. Sufi meditation begins with concentration, contemplation and then meditation. Hazrat Inayat Khan introduced it with two methods: the object could be fruit or flower. While contemplating the center of flower use the wasifas: Er-Rahman, Er-Rahim. While contemplating the outline of the shape of the petals use the wasifa: Subhan Allah. Set the gaze at the entire flower so you get the impress of the entire flower. Set the gaze again at the entire flower and count to 60, then close your eyes and pick the symbol up in the inner eye. Hold it until it’s faded away and then open the eyes again. Then go directly into your meditation. “May the light of the divine presence be reflected in the hearts of thy devotees”.

069b 8/17/85 At the Abode Healing continued

Murshida Vera describes how they taught children in the Seed Centers how to meditate using Hazrat Inayat Khan’s methods. One cannot get to the higher states of meditation unless one has learned to concentrate and contemplate. Meditation is a great reinforcer of the spirit that enables the individual who is chronically ill to reach out and contact the spirit; contacting the spirit brings strength to the healing process. Meditation is an escape for the very ill, an escape into peace and quiet. We want to maintain the purity of heart, the purity of mind, the purity of vision and outlook. It is very necessary when you are healing someone because the person who is chronically ill feels the impingement upon his independance more than anything else. It is the healer’s attitude of purity of vision, of childlike approach to the patient that helps him feel relaxed and have an attitude that enables one to heal him.

The crystal work is important in the healing work. Murshida describes using crystals to balance the aura and balance and enhance the electromagnetic field of the body. Crystals should always be clarified and kept protected in a cotton bag or cloth. In healing one works with paired crystals and crystals need to be cleared with sea salt and programmed for use in healing. Crystals come to you or are given to you for use in healing. Murshida describes how to set up a crystal for use in the women’s light work.

215a Light touch healing 11/3/84

The Sufi healing orders work with light. One must work on purification of the channels of the physical body; keeping them clear and open allows one to work without bringing symptoms of the patient into one’s body. Murshida presents preparations to become a healer. First of all is attuning one’s diet to your being and drinking pure water. Powdered golden seal is good for building immunity from virus and colds. The importance of awareness of the feet on the earth and practices of gaining magnetism from the earth is discussed. Other practices with magnetism are presented including healing of the light body with magnetism. The spirit is that power which sends the soul into the body at birth. The importance of the purification breaths is discussed and practiced.

215b Light touch healing 11/3/84 continued.

It is absolutely necessary to get yourself out of the way to be a channel for the divine healing. Disciplining the breath is paramount in working on oneself and other people. When one has equalized all the elemental breaths, one is automatically on an etheric breath. When one is on an etheric breath one can say, “Use me for the purpose that Thy Divine will chooses”. There can be no opinion in Sufi healing. The healer has to be able to hold their rhythm (breath), pick up the patients’ rhythm (breath) and pull back to your rhythm. Use of the glance is discussed and practiced. Two practices that build power in the healer are presented and practiced: the Quddus, Wahabo (calling on the holy spirit). The patient’s possession of the condition must be stopped for healing to occur.
